Look out world here they come!!! As fate would have it, the native Memphians met accidently at a gas station a year ago where K-Yo and his cousin were selling CDs. They were about to leave when K-Yo's cousin heard J singing in his car and the rest is history. With J's silky smooth voice and K-Yo's tight flow, there was no doubt they had something very unique and special. The duo became a pot...ent combination of Hip-Hop and R&B. When J was five years old his teacher heard him singing along with a cartoon and signed him up for a part in a play. Good thing cause he's been singing ever since. K-Yo started writing and rapping in the 3rd grade. His classmates were feeling him and asked him to do more. It was obvious at a young age they both had mad skills. Quote from A-One: "We look at our collaboration like a work of fine art. When you look at a famous painting it is admired and interpreted from different points of views but, it is upheld as a masterpiece. We are making masterpieces." A-One is performing locally and in other parts of Tennessee and in Mississippi.
