Biography OF Michael Loyd Michael Loyd (Populah Da Man) is what you would call a true M.C. Born in Bedford Stuyvesant and raised in East New York Brooklyn. Michael became influenced by the sounds of R&B icons such as Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson, Gregory Abbot and a host of others. At the age of 9 Populah began writing music with a couple of his neighborhood buddies. At the age of 12 he started a group called Nite & Day and was Produced by Jive Records own Timmy Allen. Shortly after Mr. Timmy Allen left the Label, Populah began shopping his demo tapes at the record labels in Nyc.(MCA, PRIORITY, MOTOWN, AND UPTOWN RECORDS) In 1997 at the age of 18 Populah ran into a neighborhood star that went by the name of Outloud from the hit duo Blahzay Blahzay. Blahzay encouraged Populah to keep recording and writing, Mean while Populah was working with Hit producer D.R. Period who produced acts Such as M.O.P., Smoothe the Hustler, Trigger the Gambler,Papoose, And a host of artist not affiliated with the label. In 2001 after shopping his demo at various record labels, Populah ran into a power house a&r for Roc-a-fella Records (Lenny Santiago) who influenced Populah not to stop at one place but to make a name for himself. Populah stayed in contact with M.r. Santiago to seek advice on his music and other outlets as well. M.r. Santiago later went to Virgin Records and Populah Lost contact but never forgot his advice. In 2002 Populah was signed to Golden Image Management by M.r. Walter Lindsay.One day after a late recording session Populah and his manager ran into Blahzay once again but this time Blah invited Populah to work with him.For the next couple of years Populah Began Recording, Writing, Promoting, Etc. for Blahz and his company 25/8 Entertainment. In 2005 Populah started working with various artist through 25/8 ent. such as Fame of M.O.P., Sean Price of Boot Camp Click, Reggae Icon Terry Ganzi, and a few others. 2006 Populah Moved Upstate New York and started his own entertainment company Called No Cents entertainment. Working with local artist he build his own fan base in the upstate area Utica & Rome N.Y.Populah put out mixtape after mixtape and never seem to keep a copy for him self. Now Populah has Just completed his album titled IMAGE OF EVERYTHING and is excited to see how well it turns out but still he anticipates his fans reaction and potential ones as well. Populah has also been working hard to start up his own independent Record company. At the Present he has 5 artist who comes from the Uptsate Area who he beleives will make it very far if giving the oppurtunity. Over the past 6 Years Populah has relesed over 20 street mixtapes and constantly recording new material in the Upstate area which is uncharted because of the lack of success from arist in the Upstate area. Populah is searching for a joint venture with a Major Label but does not mind working his way up the latter to success. In Populah's own words : " I hope to a accomplish what many M.C.'s have failed to do since the Late 90's. I wanna put out classic albums. I dont mean hot songs, I mean Classic material. Im not trying to change my style, because the way i am is the way i will always be. Hip-Hop is my life. If it was'nt for music i would'nt be who i am. I also beleive since music has been so much of an influence on so many people who influence so many more people and so on.... I have no choice but to acknowledge that i am". THE IMAGE OF EVERYTHING
