Yung Star Biography
Born Damontae Wright better known as Yung Star is a rapper, actor and songwriter who has taken Chicago and the internet world by storm with Virdiko Distribution his hit single "Jig Wit It", has already received over 20,000 views for his video. Yung Star is indeed a name that is becoming well known through out the world.
Raised on Chicago's westside, Yung Star began writing at the age of 7 and by 2010 it became rap history when he introduced his first single "New Fit On" on Chicago's 92.3 TrueStar Radio. Influenced by rap artist and role model, Trevor Hill aka Marcel Kash Tree Footsteps, as well as Jay Z, Tupac, Kanye West and Soulja Boy. Yung star is following his dream of becoming one of Chicago's greatest rappers.
Performances in the Chicago-land area and New York's Times Square gained the attention of one of the hottest radio station's in Chicago, 107.5 W.G.C.I. which led to his Nomination December 2011 as one of the finalist to open for W.G.C.I.'s Big Jam Concert, Yung Star has proven he has the skills needed to take the stage with some of the best in the game.
Yung Star's third single released October 2011 "Yall Cold" is well on it's way to becoming a hit in Chicago and beyond.
With his mom and family supporting his dreams he still remains as humble as he did when he first picked up his pencil at the age of 7. One listen and you to can see what Yung Star is capable of and you too will believe.
