INTERVIEW WITH WWS MAGAZINE
http://wwsmag.com/updates/cotton-mouph-crew-lifetime-encore-2/

Tell us about where you are from and how you got to this position today.
Our story is typical not to sound cliche, We originated out of southeast Houston TX. We started 6 years ago and have gotten to this point by way of hard work and dedication but we feel we have not even begun to scratch the surface.

What are you currently working on and what can we expect to see?
As a collective We are currently working on six albums. But the current main focal artists, J-Dot, Thrilla, and C-Either, are the anticipated releases. The first release will be J-Dot’s which we hope to release in the near and upcoming months. Then we hope to follow up with a collective release of C-Either and Thrilla’s albums several months apart.

Tell us about one of the hardest challenges you had to face in the industry?
Honestly it was establishing our presence as a record label and getting ourselves exposed up to this point.

What was one of the biggest set backs in your career and how did you bounce back?
In the beginning it was getting and paying for studio time. Finding a good studio and engineer that would understand us was even harder, but we got our plans together and decided to get our own studio with our own engineer. Since then things have thankfully have been going good, and seem to get better every day.

What are some things artists need to be careful of?
Sharks in the water, watch people that watch you.

What suggestions do you have for other artists like yourself?
Keep your path and don’t let anybody get in your way, even when it looks bleak don’t stop believing in your self and your team.

What are the best ways to sell your products as an artist?
Market, advertise, and promote.

What is one of your favorite ways to promote yourself and your music?
Shows, and the internet. It really shows how many people feel the music and hear what we have to say.

Where can people visit you?
You can find us on google, under Cotton Mouph Records. Also you can hear our songs on soundcloud.com/cottonmouphrecords. You can also follow us on facebook.com/cottonmouphrecords and Twitter.com/cottonmouph
